Reverend Gurujee

Om Mani Padme Hum

I bow before your lotus feet

Distance never kills a relation. Closeness never builds a relation. It is caring of one’s feelings that builds faith and maintains a relation. I feel myself lucky in the sense that for last three years a sense of security has developed in me because of caring and sharing treatment of my Dhamma friends and above all of my Guru. The first year I could develop mere acquaintance with our holy Guru, though my friend, who got me related to Guru, was comparatively much closer in the sense, we were in touch with each other for about one year. Our mental exchange continued about eight month. This was ample time to know each other vicariously. The reason is simple. The continuous exchange of ideas, through verbal transaction, by electronic media or through other means of communication, also build a relation, whether you have met the person concerned or not, is immaterial. What matters is how these chatting have made you both understand each other. Earlier, I had heard of the stories of making friends or relationship through letters or telephone, but this actually happened with me. When I come closure with my Guru and my friend with a close bind of empathy I could not feel.

I feel myself lucky in the sense that for last three years a sense of security has developed in me because of caring and sharing treatment of my Dhamma friends and above all of my Guru

This time I was not at all in position to visit Vietnam for several vital reasons but my destiny was not known to me. The situation of my college is not congenial. My Principal was not at all in mood to leave me. This was the reason I categorically said my friend, “I can’t come this time,” when she sent me the invitation for the conference.  But it was not acceptable to my destiny. Perhaps Guru wanted my presence in the conference.

However, after repeated request, I sent my paper. Next day I received the acceptance of the same. I applied for Duty Leave and No Objection Certificate to the university, on 5th December 2020, through the proper channel, with the forwarding of the caretaker taker Professor-in- charge of my college in the absence of the Principal as he was in leave that day. I could not get even in the month of January though I ran from pillar to post.  I had left all my hopes of getting it in time the Vice-chancellor left the station on a long leave. My hope to meet my Reverend Guru was becoming bleak, dark and gloomy. On 23rd of the February I had some urgent work in the University. I went there. Thinking it well that my No Objection Certificate must not have been issued as the V. C. had come on 21st only. I did not even think to enquire of regarding its progress. It was a pleasant surprise for me that I happened to meet the dealing Asst. who was going for the lunch. I smiled and said Hi. He reciprocated me and asked me to wait for ten minutes. After 20 minutes he came back and said, ” A good news for you sir”. I enquired of from him the news. He informed me that my No Objection Certificate has been issued yesterday. It was a pleasant surprise for me. My heart leaped up because of the immense joy. The thought emerged in my mind instantly that it must be the compassion of our holy Guru. The V. C. arrived at headquarter the day before yesterday and as the first priority he he did my work. He not only issued my N. O. C., but also granted the Duty leave for attending the Vietnam Buddhist conference.  For me, this was a miracle.

For me, this was a miracle!

I was hesitant to send this massage as on 26 Feb the flight ticket had to be booked and visa to be procured. However, from the University campus itself, I sent the message to my friend. It was responded. It was a divine miracle, everything was done in time. How it happened I could not understand. But it happened. In fact our holy Guru got it done from me well in time. The same evening I came back to Biharsharif. On 25 Feb 2020 I informed my Principle about going to abroad and applied for leaving the station, and came back to Patna.

Next day morning I boarded on the plain and flown to Kolkata. It was 10 hours stay there. I went to the residence of my wife’s sister. There I had my lunch and dinner including a good wink of sleep. I was fresh now. One very important thing was left, that was foreign exchange. I asked my relative to arrange U.S. Dollar for me and it was arranged as the amount was very small. By nine P. M., I left for the airport. By eleven I boarded on the Indigo Airbus for Saigon Airport and arrived by two A. M., on 27 Feb. 2020. After immigration formality I came out of the Airport and became very happy to see that my Dhamma friends were waiting for me. It was a great moment for me. I happen to meet two new friends who came to receive me. One was Mark Hamilton, from America. The name of the other friend is not known to me. She is very nice of pleasant nature. She purchased food for me as I was very hungry.   It was very late in the night. We arrived to the hotel. After having some food I slept and woke up by 12 A. M. on 27 Feb. 2020. I, after becoming fresh, had substantive breakfast and left for our Guru’s House along with two monks from India and my other Dhamma friends.

After about two hours of long ride in the car, along with my gregarious Dhamma friends, we reached our Guru’s House. As our car entered into the gate we find our holy waiting for us. He was very happy to see all of us. He asked our welfare. After getting our feedback, his kind and compassionate face was gleaming with happiness as he knew of our safe and secure journey. I became emotional to see his parental feeling. I just bow down to touch his feet but he held me in between and took me close to his bosom. I was overwhelmed with emotional joyous feeling. It was percolating in the entire pores of my body. I consider myself lucky to experience this divine sensation. Had the time stopped and my divine sensation would have prolonged foe hours. But this does not happen, as even Guru does not like to interfere into the law of the nature. But he makes his disciples to experience such moments of divine sensation, as he loves us all. It his compassionate greatness that he provides occasions for we earthly persons to visualize the glimpses of blissful sensation. I express my gratitude to my holy Guru, from the core of my heart, for showering forth his ambrosia of benediction on me.

I just bow down to touch his feet but he held me in between and took me close to his bosom

I was overwhelmed with emotional joyous feeling. It was percolating in the entire pores of my body. I consider myself lucky to experience this divine sensation

After the meeting Guru asked one of my Vietnam’s friends to arrange my breakfast and stay. I entered into the campus by getting down through stairs.  I was wonder struck to see the new changed look of Guru’s place. A lot of renovations have been made for the modern luxurious comfort for his disciples. It is basic principle of our holy guru to cater the needs of his disciples. He is of the firm opinion that the Sansara and Nirvana must go hand in hand. Now it appears to be partial departure from the ancient tradition as the Monkhood was the ideal in ancient period. But if we caste a glance on the social life of the Buddha time we find that during Buddha’s time too there were very many lay disciples who were devoted to the Buddha and following the Buddhist way of life. They too were elevated to the higher realm of consciousness in terms spiritual development. They too became Sotapanna, Sakridagami and Arhat. Our holy Guru imbibed this concept and utilized in the everyday life of Pure mind Buddhism with minor rectification.

Guru’s kind and compassionate heart, saturated with Maha Kauna thought of to appease the cravings of the disciples to enjoy the mundane comforts of the effluent’s sojourn which is available in the modern hotels and is beyond reach of the common disciples.

It is evident from the Mahaparinibbana Sutta that Buddha has recommended minor changes in the precepts and the concept owing to the change of time, culture, climate, and place. Our holy Guru in this line of Buddha’s instruction has marked some radiant change without impairing tie basic ethic, social doctrinal principles of the Buddha and Buddhism. He was moved with the abject poverty of the common mass. He visualized the difference of have and the have-nots. His kind and compassionate heart, saturated with Maha Kauna thought of to appease the cravings of the disciples to enjoy the mundane comforts of the effluent’s sojourn which is available in the modern hotels and is beyond reach of the common disciples.  He modernized his own residence and turned into a luxurious resort with modern amenities. It was a pleasant surprise for me.

Yet there was a suspicion in my earthly mind. Every day we find the merciless destruction of nature and natural entities on the name of modernization. I am of the firm belief that the march of the modern mechanical civilization starts from the lush green forest to the jungle of concrete. In every visit of Vietnam I too have noticed the changing surface of its earth and its topography.   In the Hochiminh city of Vietnam much of changes have occurred in terms of rapid growth of multiplexes for catering the needs of human habitats for the personas coming from remote villages to work in the industrial city. Trees are been cut on the name of globalization, industrialization urbanization and modernization. Greenery is being limited to the forest area resulting different types of pollution. For Buddha and Buddhism Mature too is a living organism. If you love it it becomes happy, if you hurt it weeps, if you cut it bleeds but if you destroy it retaliates with flood, Tsunami, and very many natural calamities. Since we both are living entity, evolved with the same mother earth we must care and share each other. Buddha has suggested in the Sigalovada Sutta of Digh Nikaya that man should use the nature to nurse his need not for his greed. Nature is capable of meeting with the human needs but not the human greed. Hence we should utilize the nature like the honey bee, which collects nectar from the flower without causing any harm to it. I was happy to see that our Holy Guru has taken care of the nature and natural environment. Without causing even the minor harm to the green avenue of his place gave it the shape of a luxurious resort. This is how we find that tradition and modernity both have found their genuine expression in the imaginative creation of our Holy Guru.

I was happy to see that our Holy Guru has taken care of the nature and natural environment. Without causing even the minor harm to the green avenue of his place gave it the shape of a luxurious resort

Before I conclude I bow my head before our Guru in gratitude for his love affection and blessings.

I bow my head before our Guru in gratitude for his love affection and blessings.

Om Mani Padme Hum

With Warm Regards

Tantra Sutradaka

    Dear Tantra Sutradaka,

I rejoice to read your sharing and sympathizing with the obstacles that prevented those who desire to go on the Dharma path. Opposite to the difficulties is the steadfast faith upon the Guru so that the result is the miraculous outcome in the “89th minute”,  which we all have witnessed from so many other cases of our Dharma friends in many different shades. However, your sharing dwells in me the emotion of the relationship of the Master and the disciples, about the faith and devotion of the student who is not separated by the distance or by seeing the Guru regularly or not,  but by connecting with him. Through the website chanhtuduy.com, Guru and disciples are able to understand each other. Besides, remaining in me is the Vajra brother relationship with “a close bind of empathy we could not feel”, and always wholeheartedly supporting each other unconditionally.

    Thank you for your sharing.

May Guru and your consort, Ms Mat Dieu good health and longevity for the benefit of all sentient beings.

May the Covid-19 epidemic will be eliminated soon.

    Om mani padme hum!

    Dear guru

I bow my head before your lotus feet. I am thankful for this article.

There may be a previous life connection between us and guru. I am fortunate to have guru. I am very happy with sutradaka sir as he attained guru’s Nguyen tantra house. It is awesome to listening guru teaching live. What we have merit in life presently is because of guru budha, dharma and sangha. I know had done very bad karma in past life but still be chosen by guru as a learner. It is due to great compassion of guru. Guru life style symbolises the middle path. Please give blessings to all of us. I know my English is very bad like 3 rd standard. I am sorry for that.

May guru teaching illuminate all over the world. May guru and his concert live long for well being of all.

May all sensient being attain enlightenment.

    Om mani padme hum

  3. Mật Khuê Minh says:

    Dear Guru

I take delight in reading the sharing of Tantra Sutradaka which is imbued with Guru devotion and gratefulness towards the Yidam’s blessing through transmission channel of Guru. Congratulations to him for having gained precious experiences from doing his “filling-in exercise”. In Vajrayana in general and Thanh Tri Yoga in particular, this exercise is done by the disciple, Guru and Yidam. Surprising results happened at 89th minute gave us profound understanding about the prayer part of Song Nguyen Tantra House’s Samadhi which always begin with:”… Thank you [Yidam] for blessing me to overcome the situation which I once thought unable to overcome.” When we practice diligently and hold firm belief in the Dharma, we will obtain the support from Guru, Padmasambhava, Avalokiteshavara and Dakini in “filling in the exercise”. Thanks to them, difficult exercises in our life with be replaced with simple numbers and calculations, thus easily overcome “examinations” on the journey to the Western Pure Land.

My gratefulness to Guru who has benevolently funded dharma affairs to give us favorable conditions in practicing Application Bodhicitta. Blissful thought of Tantra Sutradaka
on how his hunger was solved after a long flight was in fact thanks to the money Guru gave us before we came to the airport to pick him up. May we always be aware of the Buddha’s teaching on how to act as the 3rd hardly met person: “Feel gratitude and know how to repay” so that we will never lose the blissful connection with Guru and Yidam from now till the ultimate enlightenment.

May Guru and your consort have health and live long for the benefit of sentient beings
Thanks Tantra Sutradaka for your beneficial sharing. May all your righteous wishes soon be fulfilled.
May Corona epidemic soon be eliminated.
    Om mani padme hum

Having gone through hardships and obstacles in this worldly life, do we reazlie how vast the compassion and blessings of Yidam and Guru are. Sometimes we thought we could never overcome a severe situation but in the 89th minute, things went on smoothly thanks to the blessings of Guru and Yidam. And like many times before, this time you’ve continued enjoy such blessings. I rejoice your Guru devotion through delicate description about Guru’s wisdom and benevolence as well as his taking care of disciples in general and of you in particular. Yes, “he is of the firm opinion that the Samsara and Nirvana must go hand in hand.” Thank you for this beautiful writing.

    Dear Tantra Sutradaka,

I am delighted to read your sharing. I have learnt that due to the practitioner’s devotion and diligence in practicing dharma, the practitioner can connect Guru’s pure mind. Therefore,  the miracles will come to them soon.

When facing obstacles,  you always think of Gurtu and have  strong faith in his blessings. As the teaching of Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava that when you think of Guru,  Guru at once stands in your door and he is close to you. Your pure devotion helps you have a close and deep connection with the pure mind of Guru. And then all your difficulties comes to an end,  the wonderful things happens in your life as your sharing.

    Revered Gurujee
    Om Mani Padme Hum
I bow before your lotus feet
I wanted to express my deep sense of gratefulness to you for publishing my memories of the Conference, the day it was posted. But because of my ill health I could not start writing. Even started I had to stop in between. I start coughing. It has cause pain in my chest. I have grown too weak also. Yesterday I had to come back to Patna as the living condition at Biharsharif is not congenial. Today I had to go to Daltongunj by 6.30 P. M. I am running from pillar to post even with my ailing condition. Today I have taken a vow to start writing the comment before I start my journey. I have started it; I think I may complete it too. The reason is very simple. The warm feelings of my Dhamma friends have embolden me to share something on this. Guru’s blessings and my Friend’s affection are elixir for me that make me to work even in a worst condition.
Words cannot convey the entire emotions; writings a lot cannot speak the inner devotion. It is simply reflected in your behaviour and action. But for we worldly creature our words, spoken or written are the vehicle of expression. So this poor Tantrasutradaka express unconditional gratitude to our Holy guru for getting my trivial memories published on his esteemed digital journal Chantudui .com. I am grateful to you for giving an extremely attractive look of my article by adding the pictorial presentation made by some of my. It is well articulated. The caption you added beneath the photographs are brilliant. I bow before you for your affectionate favour.
I am also thankful to my friends for their valuable comments. Your kind words are helpful to me even in deep distress. So kind to you all my friends
    Om Mani Padme Hum
May all sentient beings be happy
Long live our Holy Guru along with his consort in good health for benefit and pleasure of all sentient beings
